Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you read something and realize you never will. Throughout my life when college students, whether in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral programs, tried to get funds to pursue the prized diploma, they did so by taking a part-time job or by getting scholarships and fellowships. Of course, I shouldn’t be surprised that this situation, much as everything else, has taken on a modern tone.

You can build your relationship by not leading separate lives. Get busy going more places together… doing more things together… and engaging more in intimate talk (as stressed in the three previous steps)…

Education is a big part of becoming clean and sober. You are educated and what specific substances do to your body. You are also taught to deal with the feelings that brought you to the point you were at when you entered the program. Learning how to develop and use a support system as well as what you can do to avoid relapse are a very big part of the educational aspect of a rehab program.

Marriage counseling is also called couples therapy. The purpose of this kind of therapy is to help couples resolve their conflicts and relationship. Counseling helps the couples to talk to one another and define their problem. Many problems stem from lack of communication. If one spouse is off pouting in a room behind closed doors there isn’t too much that the other spouse can do but to knock on the door and try to talk. The spouse may have no idea what the problem is because there is no communication. There is no way to talk if half of the couple remains silent. Without communication there is no way to resolve the problem.

I don’t mean to be a Scrooge about love, I really don’t. I do believe in the power of love-I do, I do. If I didn’t believe in romance, I wouldn’t have devoted my life to marriage and counselling and psychological services in Singapore, or stayed married to the same man my entire life. I certainly wouldn’t be writing books about it.

One major help for an anorexic person is family behavioral therapy. It’s important because that way the family can control the food choices of the anorexic person. Once the person is back up to a healthy weight, then this control can be turned back over to them.

These are great questions to practice. Personally, this little exercise assisted me in getting better organized in my business endeavors. The last question, number seven is a question I ask each and every day when I wake up. Although the questions seem a little repetative, they are indeed thought provoking, especially if we are not conditioned to think this way on a normal basis.

There are many options that you may want to pursue. Counseling is just one of the ways that have been proven to be effective and is easy to access. Just letting it out and telling someone you do not know, your issues can lift a huge weight off your shoulders that you never knew was there. You cannot know if something will not work unless you try it. There is no reason why you should not want someone to help you reach your goals. Having someone help you can improve your life in ways that you may not have known.
