First, gym memberships are really expensive! And if a gym motivates you to workout regularly, it may be worth it. But really, how many services at your gym do you use regularly? The Weight Room, Cardiovascular Equipment, Day care, Exercise Classes, Locker Room, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Tennis, Racquet Ball, Smoothie Bar, Personal Training. Once you have seriously considered what you need in a gym, choose a gym with those amenities only. If you don’t play racquetball, why should you pay for it?

A friend of mine recently purchased a Hip Hop Aerobics DVD… she says it’s a butt-kicking program as well, but it’s the same routine each time. That’s an advantage to the ‘live’ classes.. the instructor can help you out if you’re having trouble with your moves, and give you the option of mixing up the routine each session.

Now I will mention one thing – you won’t see visible results if you have a high body fat %. You will of course feel the results and quickly too. Your stomach will naturally begin to pull inwards, and become firmer. But guys you need your body fat % close to 8% and gals you need it about 12% to really see chiselled definition.

You see, the easiest option to do workout routines is to take a class. I had several mates who have been doing exercise applications for years. They’d take martial arts, yoga, pilates great neck, or aerobics. Some of them would even go dancing. All of those are valid workout applications, but I thought I ought to go it alone. I didn’t need to hire a trainer or take a class. I simply needed to design my very own customized exercise programs.
